How Selection Works

Transparent, reviewed and written down

Nobody at this club advances because of who they know.

  • Every player has an individual development plan, reviewed each term
  • Selection criteria are written and shared with players and parents
  • Progress is assessed against technical, physical, tactical and character measures
  • Players who are not selected receive written feedback and a development target
  • Any player can request a review of a selection decision
  • Academic performance is part of the assessment, not separate from it

No pay-to-play

Selection has never depended on a family’s ability to pay. Hardship support exists and is confidential.

Equal investment

Girls’ and boys’ pathways are resourced identically — same coaching hours, same medical cover, same opportunities.

Education first

No player is selected while missing school. Football opens doors; a qualification keeps them open.
