Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, store and protect your personal information.
Chegutu Community Football Club respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Last reviewed: August 2026
Who we are
Chegutu Community Football Club, P1034 Pfupajena, Chegutu, Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. You can contact us at info@chegutucommunityfc.com or on +263 784 658 667.
What we collect
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number and town, when you contact us, register, apply for membership or reserve tickets.
- Player information — date of birth, position, football history and relevant medical information, when registering to play.
- Parent or guardian details — for any player under 18.
- Emergency contact details — so we can reach someone quickly if a player is injured.
- Application information — experience and qualifications, when applying for a role or to volunteer.
- Technical information — basic, non-identifying information your browser sends when you visit this website.
Why we collect it
- To process registrations, trials, memberships, ticket reservations and shop orders
- To contact you about the enquiry or application you submitted
- To keep players safe, including medical and emergency response
- To meet our safeguarding obligations and league registration requirements
- To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We share it only where necessary to run the club (for example, league registration) or where the law requires it.
Children’s information
We hold information about players under 18 only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Photographs of players under 18 are published only with that consent, and never alongside identifying details such as a full name, school or home area. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and images will be removed promptly on request.
How long we keep it
Enquiry information is kept for up to two years. Player registration and safeguarding records are kept for as long as required by league rules and safeguarding good practice, and then securely destroyed. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
Information is held securely with access limited to the staff who need it. Medical information is available only to the medical department. Safeguarding records are held separately and accessed only by the Designated Safeguarding Officer and the board.
Your rights
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Withdraw consent for photography or marketing at any time
